BritFilms...

Posted by JOHN MOSBY Tuesday, March 16, 2010

In early 2010, John was hired to handle the rebranding of BritFilms as well as designing several sleeves and posters for their catalogue of films and releases.  The first of these was 'CUT' for the DVD market, followed by the promotions for feature film Crying with Laughter, an award-winning film released throught cinemas in the UK. Further releases are due to follow on a regular basis.
He was also hired to redesign the company's logo which appears on all their newer projects...

The remits of the job varied from project to project. These included sometimes coming up with new designs from scratch, sometimes using provided elements, tweaking existing promotions and creating banners for web advertising and further placement.

As part of the design service, John works from original instructions and can turn around artwork quickly and efficently. As part of any commission, he also includes the process of several revisions in the package price quoted. In the case of cinema posters and DVD sleeves alike, all artwork is created at 300dpi, suitable for all types of main printing at sizes requested.

As needed, John has also provided background layouts for Impact and Verbatim magazine articles. These were created in PhotoShop CS4, combining provided elements for the finished bigger canvas...
